Korean delegation participates in a two-day environmental meet in Oman

Oman, Korea discuss water management

 A 24-member Korean delegation participated in the two-day Korea-Oman environmental forum held in the capital Muscat recently, Oman Observer reported.

The delegation was led by officials of the Ministry of Environment of Korea. Executives from KEITI (Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute) and KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) also participated in the meeting.

Officials from Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW), Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, Haya Water , Be’ah and Majis Industrial Services and eputed local contractors, environment consultants, waste management services providers and local trading companies were in attendance.

The session on water management featured presentation on water and sewage management, wastewater treatment plants by Korean governmental organisations like Ministry of Environment, Korea Environment Corporation and Korean companies specialising in water treatment. There were also presentations by officials representing PAEW and Haya Water about Oman’s water and wastewater scenario.
