Diehl Metering is a corporate division of the Diehl Group, headquartered in Nuremberg. With a total annual turnover of 3.75 bn euros ($4.41bn), the technology company employs around 17,200 people worldwide. The corporate division for metering supplies solutions for the intelligent use of water, thermal energy, gas and electricity.

Diehl Metering provides smart metering solutions to utilities worldwide through intelligent networking of various metering devices into larger data platforms. These solutions offer transparency for utilities, and enable considerably increased efficiency in reading, billing and service processes.

Diehl Metering’s customers are also able to benefit from real-time effects such as early recognition of leaks and the optimisation of distribution networks through intelligent information regarding prompt adjustment of the offer to suit actual needs.

Diehl Metering has been stablished in the GCC since 2006, with offices in Jebel Ali – Dubai. We have supplied over 2 million of our ultrasonic water and thermal energy meters in the GCC and implemented some of the largest and more advance AMI solutions for clients like DEWA, Empower, EWA, NWC, etc.

Its clients include Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC), National Water Company (NWC), Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Empower and Emaar among others.

With Diehl Metering utilities are already perfectly equipped for smart metering as an important component of smart city concepts. Thanks to more than 20 years of experience with the company’s own radio technology, Diehl Metering has at its disposal excellent expertise in communications within the Internet of Things. Moreover, security of customer data has the highest priority.

Diehl Metering has participated in WETEX since 2008 due to the show’s importance. WETEX allow the company to meet with current and potential customers in the region, as well as with key partners. As one of its key events worldwide, three board members of Diehl Metering will be attending, including its new CEO.

“We expect to have the opportunity to meet with our clients and partners to discuss how Diehl Metering can further support the implementation of advance metering solutions and support the reduction of Non-Revenue Water in the region,” added the spokesperson.

This year, the company’s main focus is on ‘Smart Water Metering Solutions – our Response to Non-Revenue Water’. To further support these solutions, Diehl will announce the formal launch of the new generation of its ultrasonic water Meter, HYDRUS 2.0. This new generation includes meters up to DN100. We also announce the launch of our new generation of data receivers, which provide more flexibility.
