Megger has announced the acquisition of SebaKMT, the pipe leakage detection and cable testing specialist, to boost its worldwide testing portfolio. Megger has said that the deal will enhance its current offerings, whilst SebaKMT will benefit from the firm’s technical and financial resources.
“This acquisition is an outstandingly positive development for both companies and for their companies, not least because there’s a high degree of synergy between the Megger and SebaKMT product ranges, but very little overlap. The new organisation will therefore be able to offer a truly comprehensive family of power test products, backed by unmatched technical expertise and strong readily accessible customer support in virtually every country in the world,” said Megger Group chairman Peter Frank.
Following the deal, both businesses will initially continue business as usual, ahead of an evaluation of how the businesses can best be integrated. Vivax-Metrotech Group, formerly a part of SebaKMT, is not part of the acquisition, although current sales cooperation between the two companies will continue.
