DEWA to showcase transformational smart solutions at WETEX 2018

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will continue to embrace the latest smart solutions to drive efficiency across its operations, a senior official at the utility has revealed.

During the 20t Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) to be held in Dubai from 23 to 25 October, DEWA will showcase some of its latest smart innovations.
“Our smart solutions ranging from the latest Artificial Intelligence technologies to modern IoT connected equipment will be on display during WETEX,” said Khawla Al Mehairi, executive vice president of strategy and communication and government communication at DEWA.

He said that DEWA remains committed to being part of the 4th industrial revolution that continues to impact the region’s utilities landscape.
Organised by DEWA under the theme ‘At the forefront of sustainability,’ WETEX will cover an area of 78,413 square metres with the participation of more than 2,100 exhibitors from 53 countries.
“Over the past 19 years, WETEX has achieved great success and positioned itself as one of the largest and most important global exhibitions in the water, environment, and energy sectors,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO, DEWA.
“To promote Dubai’s position as a role model for investing in clean and renewable energy, WETEX attracts regional and international best practices, to promote disruptive technologies, key advanced technologies for energy and water conservation, and clean energy research and development and applications.”
The event will be held in conjunction with the third Dubai Solar Show, the region's largest solar energy exhibition, which will cover an area of 14,000 square metres.
WETEX 2018 will feature 17 country pavilions to share their state-of-the-art products and solutions.
China’s pavilion is the largest pavilion dedicated to Chinese companies specialised in water, energy and the environment.
The event’s agenda also features workshops and seminars in the areas of energy, water and the environment.
WETEX will also feature sessions on demand-side management programmes and sustainable practices.
