Ducab to showcase range of cables at WETEX 2018
Product range includes High Voltage cables up to 400kV, Medium Voltage cables up to 33kV, Low Voltage power cables, control and auxiliary, wiring and lead-sheathed cables
Dubai Cables (Ducab) is a leading provider of end-to-end cables and wires solutions, and the first choice for many prestigious clients and contractors across the region due to its record of quality and customer service. Ducab is equally owned by Senaat, Abu Dhabi and ICD, Dubai.
Today, Ducab remains proud of its “Made in UAE” heritage and its role in supporting the local manufacturing sector. The company operates six manufacturing facilities across four sites in the UAE, including Ducab Jebel Ali, Ducab Mussafah 1 Factory, Ducab Mussafah 2 Factory, Copper Rod Factory, and Ducab High Voltage (HV) Cable Systems Factory. Its facilities also include Ducab Aluminium Company (DAC), a joint venture with Senaat that was officially opened earlier this year.
Throughout its innovative journey, Ducab has continued its strong rate of growth in specialised products by introducing product lines that are designed for particular sectors. This includes offerings such as Ducab SolarBICC cables, which are specifically developed for the growing solar energy sector globally.
“We also have a broad range of energy and electricity focused products such as Ducab PetroBICC cables, designed for the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical sector, and NuBICC, which is our 60-year certified cable range for nuclear power plants,” says Ashish Chaturvedy, marketing manager, Ducab.
“Our expansive product range includes High Voltage cables up to 400kV, Medium Voltage cables up to 33kV, Low Voltage power cables, control and auxiliary, wiring and lead-sheathed cables, Low Smoke Zero Halogen cables, and Fire-Performance cables, copper rods and wires, cable components and cable accessories.”
Ducab has participated in WETEX for many years and has witnessed the continued growth of an unparalleled industry event that unites professionals and drives discussion across key sectors – environment, technology, electricity, and water.
“As a leader in the UAE’s manufacturing sector, Ducab strives to lead the way in terms of developing sustainable practices for its industry, the manufacturing sector, and beyond. The event remains a fixture in our annual calendar for the access it provides to these key stakeholders, including customers, peers, and industry decision-makers,” says Chaturvedy.
“WETEX is also the ideal platform for us to demonstrate the full Ducab portfolio, which spans all sectors that are represented at the event.
“One of the areas we are most excited about this year is the acceleration of the solar energy ecosystem. We have spent a great deal of time, for example, ramping up our own Ducab SolarBICC series to help those in the electricity market to realize their ambitions safely, efficiently and effectively.”
Tailored for the UAE’s growing solar energy sector, SolarBICC cables are currently being supplied to two of the largest solar power generation projects in the region: Shams 1 in Abu Dhabi, and Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai. Ducab will share the results of these projects with the attendees at WETEX.
The event also provides Ducab with an opportunity to broaden its customer base and enables it to demonstrate to a local and international audience that UAE-made products are of global standards, suitable to be used in sustainable projects around the world.
“Our participation this year will be inspired by the growing focus on sustainable energy sources, which is something currently being pursued by the UAE and the wider region,” says Chaturvedy.
“At this year’s WETEX event we will showcase our entire Ducab range of cables and cabling products.
“That being said, we really are on the forefront of delivering the sustainable energy agenda, and will thus place a particular focus on products that support projects within the solar and nuclear power sectors.”
Ducab’s portfolio offers quality-assured products that are relevant to a number of growth sectors, including utilities, real estate, construction, oil and gas, transportation, and hospitality.
Outside of this space, Ducab’s range features Low-Voltage, Medium-Voltage and High-Voltage power cables for the entire energy and transmission sector. This includes Ducab RuBICC flexible rubber cables, and Ducab FlamBICC, the Fire-Performance cable series.
At WETEX 2018, Ducab’s stand will be at Za’abeel Hall 1 - #SSP6.
