Dubai Municipality mulls five-year strategy
Agency to focus on environmental and wastewater in 2010-14 period
Dubai Municipality (DM) has held a meeting to discuss the emirate’s strategy for dealing with the environment and waste treatment over the next five years.
Among the issues discussed were the local environmental challenges with regard to air pollution, marine life, soil, groundwater, waste management, desertification and the deployment of ‘green areas’.
DM’s 2010-14 plan will be based on a waste management and environmental analysis of existing data to identify strategic goals.
