KBR has expanded its project management work at Yanbu refinery.

Infrastructure giant KBR has signed a deal with the Saudi Aramco-ConocoPhillips joint venture to provide detailed and engineering and procurement services for utilities works and interconnecting systems and pipe racks at the Yanbu Export Refinery Project (YERP).

The Yanbu project is under EPC tendering at the moment, and will consist of a 400,000 bpd full-conversion refinery in Yanbu Industrial City.

The deal is an extension of KBR’s current project management contract with the joint venture and follows the firm’s completion of front-end engineering design for the Yanbu refinery.

“We look forward to providing further services to ConocoPhillips and Saudi Aramco for the successful execution of this significant project,” said John Quinn, president, KBR Downstream.

“This award recognises KBR’s proven ability and track record to deliver high-quality services to our client. It also positions KBR for continued growth and future success in this market.”
