Iran announces increased power generation
Thermal and hydro power plants increased production, says ministry.
The Iranian energy ministry last week announced that the country's thermal and hydro power plants have increased their power generation by almost nine percent during the last five months compared with the same period a year earlier, writes the Iran Daily newspaper.
According to the ministry, Iran's power plants generated over 102 gwh of electricity since March 21, the start of the Iranian year, an 8.36 percent increase in comparison with the same period last year.
Yhermal power plant generated 96,823gwh of electricity, while hydro power plants generated 5,278gwh.
The country's thermal and hydro power plants generated 94,223gwh of electricity in the same period a year earlier.
