28 French companies active in the nuclear energy sector are visiting Abu Dhabi on June 13 and 14 to promote their technology and expertise, and to hold talks with government decision-makers as well as the Korean company developing the nuclear programme in the emirate.

The French companies will meet the main decision-makers in the nuclear energy field, the Emirates’ Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), the public agency in charge of the country’s nuclear policy, and the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), to discuss possible partnerships.

The French companies in the delegation are members of the French nuclear sector federation (GIIN).

At the event, ENEC will present the details of its nuclear project to the French delegation. The teams from the South Korean consortium will present their industrial vision of the project.
The visit is organised by UBIFRANCE, the French agency for international business development and the French Trade Commission, in cooperation with the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation

France derives 78 percent of its electricity from nuclear power generation, and the country has 58 nuclear reactors in operation.
