Water technology provider, Xylem, has released ResiBoost, an intelligent variable frequency drive (VFD) that matches system demand to maximize pump efficiency and minimize wear and tear.

Part of Xylem’s Lowara brand, the ResiBoost is suitable for a wide range of residential applications. It is a plug-and-play device designed for easy installation and use. Users can connect the VFD to water and electricity and set the desired pressure.

The ResiBoost automatically controls the speed of the pump while keeping the pressure in the system constant, reducing energy consumption and preventing rapid changes of pressure from damaging pipes, junctions and valves.

It is available in pipe and wall mounted versions or, as a ready built package. The pipe and wall mounted versions have built-in dry run protection, a control and information panel featuring an LCD screen and are able to store information on operated hours, number of starts, connections to the power supply and register of alarms
