Galfar wins $56.9mn worth contracts in Oman

Galfar Engineering and Contracting Company, one of the leading contracting firms in Oman, has won four major contracts worth $56.9mn from the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) for operation and maintenance of its assets in Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Batinah, Al Seeb and Muscat regions.

These contracts are for maintaining and operating water networks, water wells, pumping stations and buildings, the company said in a disclosure statement posted on MSM website.

The first contract was for operating and maintaining PAEW's assets in Al Dakhiliyah for $20.6mn for a five year period, while the second project for $16.2mn was for South Al Batinah governorate.

The third contract worth $81mn was for operation and maintenance of assets of PAEW for Al Seebwilayat and the fourth one was for operation and maintenance of PAEW assets in Muscat governorate for $10.7mn, the company statement added.
