Petrobel builds 65MW dual-fuel power plant
The plant will serve the company’s production facilities, administrative buildings, workshops, and the residential camps
Egypt-based joint-venture company Belayim Petroleum - Petrobel has established a dual-fuel power plant with a total capacity of 65 megawatts to meet the company's energy needs, its chairman Atef Hassan announced Saturday.
In a statement, Hassan said the plant will serve the company’s production facilities, administrative buildings, workshops, and the residential camps, reported Amwal Al Ghad.
Petrobel is planning to increase its production rates during 2016, the official added.
Belayim Petroleum Company Petrobel was established in and is one of the state-run Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation companies jointly owned by Italian energy firm Eni. Petrobel’s main activities are exploration, and development of oil and gas fields and the production of oil, gas and condensates.
