Haya Water to pump $3.23bn into sewerage projects
Omani wastewater firm will invest to expand infrastructure in Muscat.
Oman’s Haya Water plans to invest about OMR 1.25bn ($3.23bn) in the next few years for building future sewerage projects in the Sultanate’s capital Muscat.
The company is eyeing building pipelines, trunk lines and treatment plants in six catchment areas, said the Times of Oman report.
A planned wastewater system will also connect 80% of properties in Muscat by 2020, the report said.
“In Bausher area, we have more than OMR 304 million ($787mn) upcoming projects,” Khalid Al Lawatia, deputy general manager — projects, Haya Water, said.
