Jordan launches latest solar PV plant
Spanish contractor Ennera unveils 3MW plant in Azraq.
Jordan has launched a new 3 MWp turnkey photovoltaic plant developed by Spanish contractor Ennera.
The grid connected plant in Azraq supplies power to NEPCO (National Electric Power Company) under a 25-year contract.
It consists of 10,186 panels of 295 W and a solar power station of 2.8 MVA (2.5 MW) A-295P based on inverters cooled by water.
Ennera was the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractor for the power plant, beginning work in November 2014 and starting the testing phase in March 2015.
The realization of this project strengthens Ennera’s presence in the strategic Jordanian market, the company said in a statement.
