A new 400 kV facility will link 100MW expansion to the grid.
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has awarded the contract to build a new 400 kV substation to support the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Seih Al Dahal.

The AED250mn ($68mn) Independent Power Producer (IPP) project will link the 100MW first expansion phase of the Solar Park to DEWA’s grid by the second quarter of 2017.
Twenty four qualified developers have been shortlisted to develop the project and must submit bids by 23 October 2014.
