L&T wins Saudi electricity transmission line deal
Indian group pens contract with SEC for high voltage transmission line
Indian construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won a contract from Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) to build a high-voltage double circuit transmission line in eastern Saudi Arabia.
The turnkey order, which has been awarded by SEC subsidiary National Grid, is scheduled to be completed in two years.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, testing and supply of extra high-voltage (EHV) transmission towers, conductors, insulators and other transmission accessories.
L&T will also carry out the testing and commissioning of the 192km extra high voltage double circuit transmission line.
