Toray develops new low fouling RO membranes
New technology imparts durability against chemical cleaning
Water treatment firm Toray said it developed a highly durable low fouling RO membrane element with high water permeability and high capability for removal of ions and organic compounds by leveraging the company’s original nano-technologies, making it stronger against acids, alkalis, and chlorine used during cleaning.
This technology imparts high durability against chemical cleaning and outstanding separation properties and is expected to expand the membrane’s use in wastewater treatment which requires high fouling resistance, and frequent chemical cleaning because of low quality of raw water.
It could also replace the former TML Series, enhancing the performance of the water treatment plant.
