Nesma Electric wins substation deal in KSA
New substation to nearly 225 MVA to the equipment currently in use
Jeddah Islamic Sea Port has awarded Nesma Electric a contract for a 110/13.8 KV substation located near to the sea port authority building.
Expanding demand for cargo and increasing port activities have raised concern of an electrical overload on the existing systems at the important Jeddah sea port. Nesma Electric will build a new substation that adds nearly 225 MVA to the capabilities of the equipment currently in use. When completed, the substation will reduce the likelihood of a large-scale outage.
The agreement signed by Abdulaziz Al Tuwaijri, president Seaports Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Salah Al Sunaid, deputy general manager, Nesma Electric, at the Jeddah Islamic Sea Port headquarters in Jeddah.
