UAE gives Morocco $100m for renewable energy
The money will be used to provide wind energy stations in villages
The UAE has provided a $100m package of support to finance renewable energy projects in Morocco.
According to Emirates News Agency, the money will be used to provide solar electricity generation equipment and wind energy stations in villages in remote areas that will be used to serve development projects in the country.
The initiative is part of a framework of support offered by UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan aimed at improving bilaterateral relations between the two countries.
It will also help Morocco's efforts to promote clean energy generation.
