Al Rostamani Group subsidiary, Emirates Electrical Engineering, has been awarded the EPC contract for a new 132/11kV fountain substation project in EMAAR Properties Downtown Dubai development. The project will help EMAAR strengthen the electrical network in the area to help support continuing developments.

The new substation is expected to be completed in an 18 month period, before being handed over to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

“We succeeded in securing this prestigious project in spite of very tough competition from international and local EPC companies. This is due to the capabilities we possess in all aspects of an EPC company and the competiveness we have developed over the years due to continuous improvement in processes. We are confident of completing this project within the given time,” said general manager of Emirates Electrical Engineering, M. V. Prabash.

The firm claims to have worked on more than 25 132 kV substation projects, in addition to 4,000 kilometres of 132kV cabling projects.
