DEWA signs MoU with Samsung
Partnership will see pair develop applications for Samsung devices
Electronics that will see the utility develop applications and electronic solutions for use on Samsung products.
DEWA CEO and MD, HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer and Samsung Gulf Electronics President, Young Soo Kim, signed the agreement in a ceremony at DEWA headquarters.
“Through this MoU, we aim to develop applications and further expand our partnerships with local and international organisations. This would improve our overall operations and enhance the quality of services provided to our customers at the highest level of availability, efficiency and reliability,” Al Tayer said.
“As per the MoU, DEWA will partner with Samsung to launch a new application for smart TV, tablets, and smart phones manufactured by the company. This serves as a new channel for DEWA to further strengthen its customer service standards. The agreement makes DEWA the first utility in the world to develop new applications for Samsung appliances, especially smart TV, smart phones, tablets, and other electronic devices to ensure that our customers have a fast and efficient way to complete their transactions with the authority,” he added.
Samsung is set to provide technical support to DEWA’s developers in the development of the applications.
