Equipment rental firm Speedy International is to open a new supply hub in Abu Dhabi, valued at US $4 million, as part of its Middle East investment plans to expand operations in the region. The firm, which has been operating in the Middle East since 2010, will open a 30,000m2 regional hub at the ESNAAD Offshore supply base in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.

“Abu Dhabi is the ideal location for Speedy International. Through our relationship with various ADNOC group companies we are already establishing a strong market presence and our new facility will serve to further underline our commitment to the region,” said Speedy International managing director, Andy Carter.

The company says it has invested over $63 million in its fleet and operations since 2010 – including generators and compressors. It has already established offices in Oman and Egypt, and is planning similar facilities in Qatar and Saudi Arabia for 2013.
