Aquatech has announced that it has received a repeat order to build a mixed bed demineraliser plant in Yanbu in Saudi Arabia. The deal with IBN Rushd, a Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corporation facility (SABIC), will see the firm supply a plant with 130 cubic metres per hour capacity.

The plant is expected to be completed by early next year and is similar to the three mixed bed units the company supplied to the plant in 1995. The new plant is part of expansion plans for the facility, and will be used to treat desalinated water to produce demineralised water suitable for downstream use as boiler feed water.

Aquatech has previously worked on projects with a number of SABIC subsidiaries including United Petrochemicals and PetroKemya.
