The Watertec division of Belhasa Projects has won a major project from Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) to supply a DN 600 transmission pipeline from Thouban pumping station to Masafi WDC. The company will be responsible for the supply, installation and testing of pipes spanning about 17 kilometers.

According to Greg Garner, CEO of Belhasa Projects, “We won the contract against strong bids from other competitors. Our experience and history of working on similar projects in the past helped us to score a point. We have already started the work in Fujairah.”

The company also won the contract for the design and construction of two 10MIG RCC Pre-stressed Water Tanks with associated piping at Burairat in Ras Al Khaimah. This is in addition to winning the bid for the design and construction of two 4 MIG RCC Pre-Stressed Water Tanks with piping components at Shokha Area in Ras Al Khaimah.

The combined value of the three contracts is more than US$25 million in total.

According to Mr. Aziz Ayoub Watertec Business Unit Manager, “We faced tough competition to win the new projects. However, our proven expertise, comprehensive technical submission and the value we offered enhanced the client’s confidence in the quality of our work. This is a very clear reflection on the quality and high degree of service that we provide at all times.”
