Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Water and Electricity has signed a series of water and drainage deals worth a reported $100m, including the expansion of the Asir water treatment project and phase three of the Buraidah drinking water project.
A report by the Saudi Gazette also revealed that $16m would be spent on water projects in villages in the Makkah region, Al-Qassim, the Eastern Province and Jizan regions, and that the spending would also cover the construction of Hail dams.
