Iraq signs $72m contract for 320MW plant upgrade
Iranian firm will construct two gas-powered additions to Dibris plant
The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity is reported to have signed a $72m contract with Sanir, an Iranian company, to construct a series of power generation sets.
The company will be responsible for two gas-powered units for the Dibris power plant in Northern Iraq’s Kirkuk, to add 320 megawatts of generating capacity. The project is planned to be completed within 14 months.
