Ansaldo Energia scoops $120m Egypt project
Firm to supply equipment to combined-cycle plant near Cairo
Power specialists Ansaldo Energia have announced that the firm has been awarded a contract worth around $120m for power station equipment in Egypt.
The order is for the supply and assembly of two 280 megawatt steam turbines, generators and auxiliary systems for the combined-cycle power station in Giza North. The plant is managed by the Cairo Electricity Production Company, owned by the Egyptian state power company.
