Iran's energy export to reach $1bn

Nation will attempt to exchange electricity with other countries

Iran’s energy export is expected to be valued at $1bn by March 2012 – the end of the Iranian year – according to the deputy minister for electricity and energy.

In an interview with the Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Behzad said that $3 billion worth of technical and engineering services in the power sector are anticipated to be exported by the year end, and that measures had been taken to organise the exchange of electricity with other nations.
