Bushehr taken offline for tests
Nuclear facility will be reconnected at full power after checks
After two weeks in operation and running at half capacity, Iran’s Bushehr nuclear reactor has been taken off the grid in order to carry out technical checks and tests.
Following a series of tests, Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran has said that the plant will be reconnected to the grid, at which point it will reach its full capacity, sometime in November. Once fully operational, the plant will provide 1,000 megawatts of power to the nation’s grid.
