Qatar to improve LPG market share
Exxon boss says Qatar's share to grow from 6 to 30 per cent
Qatar is looking to improve its share of Middle Eastern LPG markets, with substantial supplies remaining through to 2020.
ExxonMobil Qatar’s acting president, Bart Cahir, told an LPG forum that the market would grow faster than rival energy sources, with natural gas seeing the second highest growth rate.
“We expect Qatar’s share of total Middle East exports to dramatically grow from six per cent in 2005 to around 30 per cent in 2012,” Cahir said.
“With this information in mind and from witnessing the development of the energy industry over the past several years, it is an understatement to say that this is an exciting time to be doing business in this region, especially Qatar.”
