Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has announced that it has won a contract from Saudi Arabia’s Marafiq for project management consultancy services at the company’s new integrated power and water facility in Yanbu.
While officials declined to give the value of the contract, it has been noted that the overall project value is in excess of $1bn, and the work includes project management, quality assurance, safety assurance, permitting support, engineering review, construction oversight and start-up and commissioning oversight.
Jacobs Group VP Bob Irving said: “Jacobs is very pleased to continue to be with Marafiq in its growth as the first private integrated utility company in Saudi Arabia. This project supports Jacobs’ long-term commitment to clients in the Middle East.”
