Egypt-Jordan gas deal expected in next seven days
Egypt to supply Jordan with 150m cubic feet of natural gas per day
A natural gas deal between Egypt and Jordan is expected to be finalised within a week, energy officials from the two countries have said.
The Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Khaled Toukan, has said that the countries are just days away from signing the deal, telling the Jordan Times: “Constitutionally, everything is set from our part and we are awaiting approval from the Egyptian government.”
The agreement will see Egypt supply Jordan with 150 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, increasing to 220 million by next year.
