Germany is to sign agreements with Jordan to commit $140 million as part of a financial and technical cooperation deal, the Jordan Times has reported.

The agreements are due to be signed by Ralph Tarraf, the German ambassador to Jordan, and the Jordanian minister of planning and international cooperation, Jafar Hassan.

Since the 1970s, Germany has committed almost $2 billion in financial and technical cooperation to Jordan, and the most recent allocation of funds is reported to be destined for the improvement of water supply, reduction of water loss and the development of the sewerage system.
