RSS fires up 19,000TR to cool Abu Dhabi
Rental cooling for the UAE capital as peak summer temperatures hit
With summer temperatures hitting their peak, Abu Dhabi has seen almost 67,000kW of rental cooling power installed to keep up with increasing demand.
Rental Solutions & Services has installed 19,000TR of cooling in the Emirate, following the Abu Dhabi’s increase in demand for temperature control rental equipment following recovery from economic slowdown and the diversification of its economy to non-petroleum related projects.
RSS has previously broken records in the UAE, installing the biggest temporary cooling package in the world, the largest rental chiller installation into a single header connection point, and also scooping the largest chiller hire contract.
Lee Cox, general manager of RSS Southern Gulf, SAYD: “RSS is currently cooling several industrial, commercial, government institutions and residential towers in the capital. We’re also supplying supplying temporary chiller installations and temperature control applications equipment to two hospitals, the largest mall in Abu Dhabi, the largest sports city in the capital, maritime vessels, aviation hangers, over 20 high rise towers which consist of government, residential, commercial and hotels.”
He adds: “Furthermore, RSS is supplementing the cooling supply of the 3 largest district cooling companies in Abu Dhabi during construction and commissioning stage of their DC plants. RSS has been helping the district cooling companies to bridge the gap between supply and demand. Our temporary chiller hire packages are either connected to the district cooling plants, to the DC pipe network or directly to the buildings.”
