$10m pipe project for Umm Al Quwain
Water transmission contract won by Belhasa Projects
The AED60 million ($16m) contract to build a new water transmission network in Umm al Quwain has been won by Belhasa Projects, in an attempt to keep pace with growing demand for water in the area.
The network of 600mm and 800mm diameter pipelines will run a total of 30kms, surrounding the entire city of Umm Al Quwain.
Greg Garner, CEO of Belhasa Projects said: “This is an important contract win for our Watertec division, which has successfully completed a range of wet infrastructure projects throughout the region. This is our first contract with FEWA, and we look forward to starting the work soon. Our scope ranges from design to installation and commissioning, and will take 15 months to complete.”
