A ‘Save Water, Save Life’ campaign aiming to conserve Lebanon’s precious resource has been launched, in conjunction with the United Nations Development Plan.

“We all know water is very precious to all of us,” said Energy and Water Minister Gibran Bassil. “We must increase awareness in society and within the political class, and move forward this important campaign to save water.”

Supported by a major advertising campaign, the effort is sponsored by the Spanish embassy in collaboration with the ARTGOLD UNDP programme after studies showed that continued water use levels could see the country run dry by 2025.
