Saudi Electric Company has announced it is looking to invest SR80 billion on projects in the Kingdom, in an attempt to cope with growing power demand, the Arab News has reported.

Speaking at a press conference at the Jeddah Economic Forum, the company’s executive president Ali AlBarrak said that 200 contractors are already working on SR30 billion of projects, and that priority would always be given to Saudi contractors.
