A bidding group led by Mustang Al-Hejailan has been awarded an engineering services contract from Saudi Aramco, to supply management services to on and offshore oil and gas projects.

The contract establishes a long-term framework for the supply of engineering, procurement and construction management services to support on and offshore projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and is to last five years with three one-year extension options.

"We are delighted with this award, and pleased to have been given the opportunity to strengthen our partnership with Saudi Aramco as one of their preferred providers,” said Steve Knowles, president of Mustang. “We are excited to work with Saudi Aramco to deliver the challenging projects they have scheduled, both on- and offshore, over the coming years."

Dar E&C and PI-Consult – both Saudi owned - are the two other members of the bidding group, combining resources with Mustang, a Wood Group company, to become a leading engineering and service provider in the region. The move will also see Mustang Al-Hejailan boosting its staffing in Saudi Arabia from 120 to 700 by the end of 2011.
