SEC signs substation contract with local firm

The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has signed a contract with the local firm Al Osais Inabensa Co. to set up a US$77 million electric substation in Riyadh to meet a growing demand, pan-Arab Asharq Al Awsat daily reported on Saturday.
The project, which is expected to be completed in 27 months, will improve transmission and distribution capacities in the south east of Riyadh and support electrical loads in the second industrial city, said Ali Al Barak, SEC chief executive.
