Saudi firm wins Kuwaiti power transmission deal

Saudi Arabia’s National Contracting Company (NCC) has won a US$11.2 million power transmission contract in Kuwait, according to MEED.
The deal, awarded by the Electricity & Water Ministry, will see NCC study, design, install , operate and maintain an 11kV overhead line on the Subiya road.
The MEED report added that NCC had won an EPC transformer contract at the Saad al Abdullah substation in March this year, and a $40.6 million cooling contract to Kharafi National.
More recently, NCC signed a deal with South Korea’s Daelim for the mechanical erection works in a petrochemicals facility in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
