FEWA turns to rental power for emergency cover.

The UAE’s FEWA has introduced a series of mobile generators, rated at 1000KVA, for use in emergency situations and periods of maintenance disruption.

In a report by the Emirates News Agency, technical advisor and FEWA engineer Jasim Imram said that the generators are equipped with flexible cables to allow them to be connected directly to distribution boxes to alleviate time lost, adding that they had been installed in an effort to improve services and ensure customer satisfaction. The generators are containerised and mounted on trailers, allowing them to be moved swiftly to the areas they are needed.
