Iran’s newly commissioned Karkheh-al-Emara power transmission line has increased the country’s exports to Iraq by 200 megawatts per day.

Commissioned last week, the 400 megawatt line will transmit 1,000 megawatts annually to Iraq, with the potential to have increased by a further 150 megawatts.
