SEC has awarded the $77 million contract to Pakistan's NPCC.
The Saudi Electric Company has signed a $77m contract with Pakistan's National Power Construction Company for a 380kV transmission line in Makkah.
The latest in a series of attempts for the NPCC to expand into the Saudi Arabian market, the contract was signed by SEC chief Al al-Barrak and the NPCC's managing director, Muhammad Ajaz Malik at the Riyadh-based company's headquarters.
Reports have also stated that prior to the signing, talks were held to discuss future collaborations in the power and energy sector between the two countries.
