Hassia industrial city in Syria has begun lighting its roads using solar power, after illuminating the first road, near the city’s free zone, with renewable power, a SANA report has said.

The move comes as part of the Hassia’s efforts to pioneer the use of renewable resources, the city’s Director General, Khaled Ezzeddin has said, also revealing that the city is preparing another road near its government building to light with solar energy.
