Metito raises student awareness of water industry

ISAS students tour Metito's wastewater treatment plant.

In light of the upcoming World Environment Day on June 5th, Metito has hosted a group of students from the International School of Science and Arts (ISAS) in Dubai, to discuss water industry topics and raise awareness of the dwindling water resources in the region.

The students were given the opportunity to tour the Metito waste water recycling plant at Dubai Industrial Park to learn the basics of the wastewater treatment and water desalination process, and how important they are in conserving water.

Commenting on the visit, Bassem Halabi, Group Business Development Director – Metito Overseas Ltd, said: “Our region suffers from a lack of natural water sources and we are also one of the highest consumers of water in the world. As a leading provider of water management solutions, it is vital we educate the next generation on responsible water use and the importance of water recycling.
