Four or five new nuclear research reactors will be built in Iran over the next few years, using uranium enriched by the country as fuel, AFP has reported.

“In the next few years, four to five reactors of 10 to 20 megawatts will be built,” Fereydoon Abbasi Davani, the head of Iran’s atomic energy organisation was quoted as saying. He continued: ”We need to continue enrichment to 20 per cent in order to provide them with fuel.”

According to the report, the reactors will be built in different provinces over a period of three to four years.
