Ninewah’s local government has announced the signing of a deal with a Turkish company, to set up a gas-fired electricity generating power plant, Aswat al-Iraq has reported.

The plant is planned to generate 750MW in a $388 million deal that is hoped will improve the supply of electricity in the province, which is about 400km north of Baghdad.
