As part of the Arabian Construction Week, the Climate Control Summit, which starts today in Abu Dhabi, will see representatives of district cooling providers take part in a mock case to debate a wide range of issues with end-consumers, policy makers and regulatory bodies related to the industry.

Participants will discuss topics including meeting cooling requirements on schedule, financing of cooling projects, rising energy costs affecting end-users and measures of environmental protection.

The debate will be set up as a courtroom, where district cooling representatives will have a discussion with members of the standalone industry. An advocate for each group, a judge and a jury will then give a range of recommendations to the attendees at the end of the debate.

Held under the patronage of the department of Municipal Affairs of Abu Dhabi, the summit will have an end-user focus to it as well as aiming to attract developers, engineering managers of malls, hotels and airports and homeowner associations.
