Oman’s first-ever event dedicated to infrastructure development in the Sultanate’s power and water sectors has received huge backing from both public authorities and private firms.
The Oman Power and Water Summit 2011 is being held under the patronage of the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW), and the event is being officially supported by the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR), Electricity Holding Company (EHC), Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP), Rural Areas Electricity Company (RAECO) and the Authority for Electricity Regulation, Oman (AER).

An expanding number of local companies are also taking part, including KSB Middle East, Larsen & Toubro Oman, L.E.N.K.E.R Industrie Handels-GmbH, Saint-Gobain PAM, Al Dastoor Contracting & Trading, Septech Emirates, Target LLC and Towell Engineering.
CJ Paul, CEO of conference organiser GEC, said: “The strong support we have received for the Oman Power & Water Summit clearly signifies the value of this event as an important platform for an in-depth discussion and meaningful dialogue among all stakeholders in the Sultanate's vibrant power and water sectors.”
The Oman Power and Water Summit 2011 will be held between 22 and 25 May at the Grand Hyatt Muscat.
