Halla Energy and Environment, a South Korean industrial plant builder, is to expand a sewage treatment plant in Saudi Arabia in an $85m deal with Marafiq, Yonhap news agency has said.
Located in the Yanbu industrial complex north of Jeddah, the expansion is to increase the plant’s treatment capacity of 27,000 cubic metres a day to 47,000, and is due to be completed for the power and water utility company by January 2013.
